Meet Shay

I created The Walk-On Method to make personal training feel more approachable, individualized, and supportive.

My background includes years in competitive athletics, collegiate softball, athletic training environments, and more than two years working as a physical therapy aide alongside licensed physical therapists. Today, I’m a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and that combination of athletic and clinical experience shapes the way I coach.

I pay attention to where you’re starting, how you move, what feels comfortable, and what actually fits into your life. You don’t need to already be “fit,” know your way around a gym, or have everything figured out before you begin.

My goal is for training to feel collaborative, respectful, and built around you. The Walk-On Method is an inclusive and judgment-free space for people of all identities, backgrounds, body types, abilities, and experience levels.

Training should fit you—not the other way around.

MOVE. BUILD. THRIVE.
